Overpass subsequently came out and finished less than one-length away in second spot in the Group 1 Doomben 10,000, beaten by Everest winner Giga Kick.
Overpass is en-route to the $20 million Everest as well as a host of Australian Group 1 races, and looks the front runner to claim Vancouver’s first Group 1 as a sire.
Group 2 winner and Group 1 place getter Vangelic has earnt nearly $1.5 million on the track and was purchased for $1.5 million by Coolmore at the 2023 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale.
Vancouver is by world-class sire Medaglia d’Oro, Vancouver is the ONLY two-year-old Group 1-winning son of his sire in Australia.
Medaglia d’Oro has proven himself to produce champions of racing around the world including Hong Kong legend Golden Sixty, and Australian three-year-old Group 1 winners Flit and Astern.
