First day of Goff sales sees Cable Bay foal sold for 75,000 Euro - highest priced foal by first season sire
On the opening day of the Goff’s November Foal Sale, a Cable bay colt out of a daughter of Australian Group 2 winner French Bid was sold for €75,000 to Tally Ho Stud making it the highest price foal for a first season sire.
Highclere Stud’s Jake Warren, who bred the colt said, “we are delighted with the sale, this colt is an excellent example of the precocious, well balanced, strong running types that Cable Bay has produced to date.”
Cable Bay is nearing the end his season down under at Woodside Park and has enjoyed a fantastic book of high quality mares including stakes performers Mirjalisa Lass, Tuscan Sling, Our Miss Jones , Holy Cow and also half sister to Black Caviar, Brigite.
Woodside Park Stud, along with its syndicate partners are looking forward to seeing similar types out of his first southern hemisphere crop, this time next year.
