Woodside Park Stud’s outstanding consignment for the March online sale is now live on the Inglis Digital Media website. The value-packed draft is sure to cause much interest amongst breeders, buyers, and the general thoroughbred industry alike.

“The Inglis Digital online selling platform has gone from strength to strength and has become an avenue where breeders can sell bloodstock and achieve optimum prices. We had no hesitation in supporting it with our portfolio reduction this year,” Woodside’s GM Commercial, James Price said.

“This was always part of our sales strategy, and following the 2019 breeding season, we reviewed our bloodstock portfolio and developed a plan for each mare and foal. This was well before the Coronavirus reared its ugly head. We may seem to be at the forefront of online selling, but we have always believed that the online sales market would grow steadily. Unfortunately, Coronavirus has made this happen quicker than everyone thought.”

“We are very confident that through professional videography, an open house policy and insightful information about each horse, each lot will equal what they would make if they went through a public auction on-complex.”

“The buyers can view the videos and choose which lots they are interested in, inspect on-farm on Sunday or Monday and then bid away on Wednesday,” Price said.

“All the mares have been prepped, and the foals handled to a standard where potential buyers can get a great look at them. No angle has been missed or hidden. We have taken front-on shots, behind shots and walking shots, providing 100% clarity to buyers on the lot they’re bidding on.”

Some highlights of the digital sale draft include:

Reeh (Sebring) is from the Redoute’s Choice mare Sponsored, the half-sister to stakes-winners Order Of The Sun (Encosta De Lago) and Get To Work (Snippets). A $260,000 Easter Yearling, Reeh comes from a very tightly held female family, owned by Highgrove Stud, and has sisters mated to Pierro and Capitalist, so the potential for black type growth is exceptional.  A brilliant black type family that includes Shania Dane, Scintillation, Beauty and Summer Passage.

“Being a half-sister to Dusty Tycoon, and in foal on a September cover to Rich Enuff, the resultant foal will be a three-quarter to Robert Heathcote’s exciting 2-year-old star galloper,” Price said.

Anelene (Written Tycoon) is a four-time winning stakes-placed mare. With a 100% winning strike rate by her foals, three from three, Anelene’s stylish Extreme Choice filly will be offered at next year’s Inglis Premier Yearling Sale. She has had yearlings sell up to $220,000 to Tony McEvoy.

“A multiple winner at 2YO, this mare gives the new owner a chance to breed to a Danehill line stallion to add refinement and quality to the resulting foal.  From a huge stallion making female family that includes Danehill Dancer, Street Sense and Mr Greeley this mare will present huge upside and excitement to the new owner.”

Brambling (Redoute’s Choice) this star offering is wonderfully related. A daughter of a G1 NZ Oaks winner Bramble Rose (Shinko King) and a half-sister to three stakes winners, Tangled (Snitzel), Sebrose (Sebring) and Maules Creek (Redoute’s Choice). At stud, Brambling has produced three winners including the stakes class Amal Rose for Roger James in NZ.  In foal on a September 4 cover to Deep Impact’s only multiple Australian G1 winner, Tosen Stardom.

“A commercial mare in foal to a commercial stallion presents her new buyer will huge potential for success.”

Berkeley Gardens (Bernardini) is a half-sister to stakes winner Easy Running (Easy Rocking). With a Tosen Stardom colt at foot and being in foal to Cable Bay, this commercial “3 in 1” package is extremely appealing.

“Berkeley Gardens has produced a handsome Tosen Stardom colt that presents with good scope and athleticism.  When he is weaned from his mother, he will thrive and develop into a stylish yearling.”

Regal Gleam (Alfred Nobel) was a successful metro winning mare. She is a half-sister to Uni Time who posted black-type success in WA this season.  Regal Gleam is being offered with a Cable Bay filly at foot and is back in foal to Cable Bay.  Due to have an early September foal, this “3 in 1” package is an ideal opportunity to breed and race. Her first foal, a colt by Cable Bay is heading the 2020 Inglis Gold Yearling Sale as Lot 126.

“Her Cable Bay filly foal at foot is very well put together. Medium-sized, with great hip and hindquarters, set with a short back, this filly is the ideal sprinting type. She presents as sharp and precocious and will be set for the early 2YO races of 2021.”

She’s Curvaceous (Flying Spur) is the dam of G1 VRC Oaks fourth Hipster Girl (Nicconi). She is in foal to Rich Enuff (Written Tycoon) and has a Tosen Stardom (Deep Impact) colt at foot.

“She’s Curvaceous has produced a tall scopey colt by Tosen Stardom. He presents in the same mold as his half-brother by Rich Enuff, that sold for $85,000 this year. With a lovely shoulder angle and great depth of girth, this colt will continue to develop into an athletic, good walking type that highlights the quality that Tosen Stardom is leaving in his foals.”

Helping Hand (Fusaichi Pegasus) is a daughter of G2 placed Generosa and is a half-sister to G2 winner No Evidence Needed (Shamardal), who continues to be bred to Australia’s best stallions including Snitzel in 2018 and 2019. In foal on a September cover to Foxwedge and she has a Rich Enuff foal at foot.

“Helping Hand’s Rich Enuff filly presents with plenty of length to her barrel, a wonderful hip and strong hindquarters.  She has a big overstep that complements the great strength she possesses in her hocks for a filly of her age,” Price said.

Transonic (Casino Prince) is four-time winning stakes-placed mare. In foal to Rich Enuff on an August cover, the resulting foal will be a three-quarter sister to Tysonic and a full to Sonic Boom.

“A proven producer, her first foal Tysonic is three-time winner, amassing over $200,000 to date, and her 2YO with Gerald Ryan, Sonic Boom, is showing great promise,” Price said.

Invincible Amici (I Am Invincible) is a winning sprint mare on multiple occasions. Invincible Amici is a half-sister to stakes-placed and 12-time winner Alien. A maiden mare, in foal on a September cover to Rich Enuff.

“From a female family that oozes precocity and speed, Invincible Amici’s dam, Bella Amici, is a daughter of Surround Stakes winner Let’s Hurry who in turn is the dam of G3 winner Restless.”
