Foxwedge secured yet another winner in the city through the tough and tenacious Miss Vixen when she saluted for popular trainer Cindy Alderson. A homebred of her mother Lynne Alderson, the super consistent filly deserved the short half-head victory over 1200 metres in mares company.

“Miss Vixen received a beautiful ride by Luke,” Alderson said, “She’s got a short, sharp burst at the end of her races which is lethal, and Cool Hand Luke Currie knew he had to wait, wait and wait to get the result.”

“She tries so hard, she’s a great mare, and with black type placing already, there will be a couple of listed mares races coming up that will suit her nicely.”

Only mid-way through July, Foxwedge has now clocked up fifteen winners with Miss Vixen being part of a treble on Saturday, complimented by a Darwin double. A proven sire who keeps getting the winners, Foxwedge stands at brilliant value for $16,500.
