Quality Book Of Mares For Written Tycoon
In form stallion Written Tycoon is benefitting from another successful season with the stallion currently serving his best book of mares since entering stud.
The son of Iglesia is having a breakout season which currently sees him in the top 20 stallions in the country.
Written Tycoon 3yo Rich Enuff has emerged as one of the best sprinters in the country with Woodside Park Stud buying into the colt in a multimillion dollar deal.
Written Tycoon has proven he is an upgrader of mares achieving Champion First Season honours from a service fee of $7,500 + GST, he has to date only had one runner race for him at a figure greater than this.
Whilst Written Tycoon has always been a popular stallion numbers wise it is only in recent years that the quality of his mares has sharply improved.
This season Written Tycoon is clearly serving his best book quality wise and is also being supported by some of the country’s best breeders.
Stakes winning mares Brilliant Bisc, Divine City, Best Yet to Come, Annesong, Our Lona and Rock My Pago head a star studded line up.
In previous seasons Written Tycoon would be lucky to serve a single stakes winner in his entire book so to get 6 individual stakes winning mares this year is a tribute to breeder appeal in the horse.
Written Tycoon also has a solid group of classy race mares booked in with six figure earners Bloomingdale Miss, Transonic, Legcut, Rock Princess, My Only Hope and Manihi Miss a selection of mares locked in.
Mares by leading sires such as Danehill, Fastnet Rock, Redoute’s Choice, Encosta De Lago, Galileo, More Than Ready, Commands and General Nediym are also booked in giving Written Tycoon his best opportunity yet to shine.
Perhaps the most interesting mare slated to be covered by Written Tycoon is grand old mare Volte, dam of Group 1 Rosehill Guineas winner Dealer Principal.
A 20 year old mare, Volte comes from the wonderful Voltage family responsible for leading gallopers such as Group 1 winners Drum and Anamato as well as champion galloper Grand Armee.
Written Tycoon also has terrific numbers this year with over 170 mares booked to see the horse and mares still being booked in.
Written Tycoon stands this season at the value fee of $12,500 + GST.
